Rendang, a traditional Minang dish from West Sumatra, Indonesia, is a rich and aromatic slow-cooked meat dish, most commonly made with beef. The meat is braised in coconut milk and simmered with a complex blend of herbs and spices, allowing the liquids to evaporate and the meat to become tender, dark brown, and beautifully caramelized with rich flavors.
